Requirements

This position requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, plus three (3) years of related experience. Must also have 36 months of experience with: 1) Salesforce development using a systems lifecycle model to analyze, design, test and implement software solutions; 2) serving as technical resource on projects throughout the development life cycle (including analysis, design, development, testing, deployment and support) and produce technical documentation; 3) supporting databases or customer relationship management applications; and 4) utilizing the following technologies and tools: SOQL, Salesforce Lightning Components, Apex, Flow Builder, Process Builder, Java, JavaScript, VisualForce, HTML5; code development tools and methodology: CLI, VSCode; and Salesforce architecture and API services, including SOAP, REST, and BULK, and integration with 3rd party solutions. Must also have 12 months experience serving as Salesforce administrator supporting end users in a lightning environment. All experience may have been gained concurrently. Experience must have been acquired after completion of the Bachelor’s Degree program. Position is a hybrid position with an in-office requirement. Worker must live within a commutable distance of Okemos, MI and be able to work in-office as required. Salary: $97,636.03/year. Full-time, position located in Okemos, MI. Delta Dental Plan of Michigan, Inc. seeks a full-time Salesforce Developer based in Okemos, MI. The primary duty of the Salesforce Developer is to design, develop, implement and manage Salesforce development activities to support the Enterprise’s use of Salesforce and ancillary systems and utilize declarative and coding capabilities to create custom applications for the Enterprise. Specific duties include: 1) Serve as technical resource on projects throughout the development life cycle (including analysis, design, development, testing, deployment and support) and produce technical documentation. 2) Provide development estimates using repeatable processes, outlining business and technical risks. 3) Collaborate with data transformation team to support project needs. 4) Support databases or customer relationship management applications. 5) Package and deploy applications for production in accordance with established release processes. 6) Collaborate with system administrators and consultants to develop technical solutions. 7) Follow technology architecture and design best practices and standards and escalate any issues as deemed appropriate. 8) Serve as Salesforce administrator supporting end users. 9) Adhere to standard change control and configuration management practices.
