Quality Control Manager

Job DescriptionOur client, a leading meat company, is currently seeking an accomplished Quality Control Manager to join the team. Here is an overview of the role:1) Develop, implement and manage quality control systems designed to ensure continuous production of product2) Formulate the food safety and quality policy3) Establish and maintain the food safety and quality system4) Supervise or perform inspection and testing activities to ensure high productivity and technical integrity throughout the production cycle5) Provide technical and statistical expertise to teams6) Set plant-wide policy for food safety and quality management as defined in the food safety and quality management systems documentation7) Serve as the management representative for all food safety and quality systems8) Initiate investigations of food safety and quality incidents throughout the plant9) Interpret quality control philosophy to key personnel within the company10) Interact with vendors to ensure the quality of all purchased parts11) Achieve and maintain the certification necessary to be an SQF Practitioner12) Be responsible for validating changes to food safety and quality plans that have an impact on the company's ability to deliver safe quality food13) Design, develop and implement quality control training programs14) Assist the Management Team and provide QC support as necessary15) Assist the Plant Manager with supervisory and other managerial responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws16) Perform other duties as assignedCritical Requirements1) A university degree is required.
