Base Pay Range:$40.47 - $60.71Job Description:The Mammography Technologist is a Full-Time, Temporary position working Monday through Friday, day shift hours. This position will be primarily located at Pacific Medical Center Beacon Hill in Seattle, WA. Summary: Responsible for the operation of a dedicated mammography equipment to perform radiologic procedures. Typical duties including operating equipment, applying prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis, assisting physicians with breast localizations and administering opaque media. Responsible for obtaining the highest quality radiological exams under the direct or indirect supervision of a radiologist per established Inland Imaging guidelines and protocols. Assists Team Leader with Quality Assurance of equipment and documentation to the standards of MQSA and ACR.Essential Duties/Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Provide high standards of patient care as described by Inland Imaging Policy and Procedures.Follow workflow processes to effectively move patients through the continuum of careMaintains high standard of technical skills in modality by:Performs at least 250 mammography studies of varying types per year based on FTE status.Performs diagnostic mammography studies.Performs mammograms to ACR standardsAppropriate views for particular exam as per company protocolAbility to perform acceptable alternatives when patient condition requires themAbility to physically assist patient to obtain high quality mammogram.Applies prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosisAssists physicians with specialized proceduresCompletes exam paperwork, coding for billing, patient data for tracking, patient history and scans patient paperwork into PACSMaintains stocked, organized and clean working area including equipment, tech area and exam rooms. Works with and verbalizes issues and concerns (ie. staffing, QC, and equipment) with the Lead Technologist of Mammography. Knows when to escalate unresolved issues to appropriate levels.Assists with the training of all new employees. Accredited Radiologic Technologist Program or equivalent on the job experience required necessary to pass the ARRT (R)Experience:One year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist - requiredMQSA Compliant (15 mammography specific CME's within last 36 months; 200 mammograms performed within the last 24 months; 40 hours of initial digital mammography trainingAnatomy and medical terminologyUnderstanding of mammography proceduresMust physically be able to position and maneuver patients to perform mammographic studies. Licensure: Must maintain current Washington State Certified Radiologic Technologist LicenseCertifications: Registered AART (R), (M) CertificateCurrent CPR/BLS requiredComputer Skills: Experience with the following computer applications is highly desired: Outlook; Workday; Medicalis; Stentor; IntranetBackground Check:Must be able to pass a background check required by RCW 43.43.830-840 to work with children under the age of 16, developmentally disabled persons or vulnerable adultsIn order to comply with provisions set forth in Sections 1128 and 1156 of the Social Security Act, all new employees of Inland Imaging Clinical Associates, LLC will be checked against the LIST OF EXCLUDED INDIVIDUALS provided by the Department of Health & Human Services, Office of the Inspector General (OIG).
