Overview:

Under the direction of the director of the service, the manager is responsible for the effective implementation of the philosophy, goals, policies and procedures of the cardiac catheterization, electrophysiology, and interventional radiology labs and their effect on patient care. The manager has the authority to make decisions on that unit in the areas of patient care, human resources, and financial management. The manager assures services are in compliance with professional standards, state and federal regulation requirements. The person in this position works under general supervision, is responsible for various shifts, may be subject to over 40 hours per week and/or callback as required, and may also be required to remain on campus immediately before, during, and after severe weather and/or disasters.Qualifications:Associates in Nursing or Allied Health Field is required. Bachelors Degree in Nursing or Healthcare related is required within two (2) years of employment/transfer.Two years experience in a cardiovascular lab required. Previous leadership experience required.Current RN Licensure in the state of Florida if an RN or Current Radiological Technologist FL license if a Radiology Technologist. RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) or RCES (Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist) or Certification with NASPE (National Society Pacing Electrophysiology) or CEN (Certified Emergency Nurse Specialization) or CCRN (Critical Care RN) is required within 18 months of employment/transfer. BLS and ACLS through American Heart Association is required. NIH within 90 days of employment/transfer.Demonstrated clinical competence in relevant area of cardiovascular invasive proceduresDemonstrated leadership ability and potential managerial competency
