Performs nuclear medicine scans and provides guidance to nuclear medicine technological staff in order to ensure a high quality of work. Assists in the orientation and training of newly hired nuclear medicine staff. Utilizes a variety of equipment including handling of radioactive materials, as well as computers and various software programs to enter patient related information into hospital databases. Contributes to the overall excellence of the department through commitment to personal excellence in technical and interpersonal skills.Qualifications:Work requires a High School diploma. Work required the level of knowledge normally acquired through completion of an accredited program in Nuclear medicine and three years of nuclear medicine required. ARRT or NMTCB required. State of New Jersey licensure required. Requires the analytical ability to resolve problems that require the use of basic specific, mathematical, or technical principles and in depth experience based knowledge. Requires the ability to explain clinical, technical, and diagnostic procedures to patients and their families.
