Responsibilities & RequirementsThe Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides nursing care to individuals through the application of basic knowledge of the biological, physical, behavioral, social and nursing sciences under the direction of a registered nurse. The LPN is accountable for his/her own professional development and practice within the scope of care defined by law. The delivery of nursing care within the Kettering Health Network reflects the missions, vision, values and philosophies, of the organization and nursing departments.

The Licensed Practical Nurse reports to the Clinical Nurse Manager.

Minimum Education Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (NLN)Evidence of completion of an OBN course in medication administration

Required Licenses [Ohio, United States] Licensed Practical NurseLicensed in the state of Ohio as a Licensed Practical Nurse

Required Skills BLS Certification

Required Skills Proficiency with computer programs: EPIC, I Heal, Healthstream and Healogics University (Healogics Competencies)
