Duties at KU will involve assisting in the neurology clinics, hospital rounds, teaching medical students, neurology residents, and fellows.Job Description:Required QualificationsEducation/Licensure:MD, DO, or foreign degree equivalent to an MD.Eligible for Kansas medical license.Work Experience: Completion of neurology residency training and neuromuscular medicine fellowshiptraining.Preferred QualificationsSkills: Excellent communication skills.Job Duties Outlined:See patients in the outpatient neurology neuromuscular clinic.On occasion, cover the academic teaching service in the inpatient hospital unit.Supervise neurology residents and fellows. This will include supervision of trainees in the hospital and in the outpatient clinic.Teach medical students on the inpatient and outpatient services and provide occasional lectures.Pursue scholarly activity in the areas of neuromuscular medicine disease.Other duties as assigned by Department Chair.Required Documents:Resume/CVIf selected as a final candidate for this position, you may be required to complete the Association of American of Universities Representations and Warranties document and sign a release of records that will allow the University of Kansas Medical Center to conduct a further background check with former employers.
