JOB DESCRIPTIONResponsible for delivery of patient care to a mainly geriatric population through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Also directs and guides patient teaching, activities of ancillary personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing.Minimum 2 years' experience as a RN (Emergency Department preferred).Critical care background preferred.QUALIFICATIONS
Basic Life Support (BLS) CertificationAdvanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)National Institutes of Health (NIH)Certified Principal Investigator (CPI) CertificationSound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.Completion of a fully accredited Certification Surgical Tech programMinimum two years Emergency Room RN experienceActive unencumbered RN Massachusetts state licenseGraduate from a fully accredited RN programTNCC Certification requiredSKILLS/ABILITIES/COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills.Participates in relevant continuing education programs.Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise.A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.Requirements:
