DMV Clerk will be responsible for processing daily accounting transactions including, but not limited to, Used Vehicle Purchases, Wholesales, and processing DMV transactions efficiently and accurately. This role is also requires to frequently reconcile various schedules related to DMV fees, Lien Payoffs, and Wholesale Receivables. DMV Clerk is expected to provide accurate information, monthly, to ensure O’GARA is supplied with accurate, timely financial information in compliance with O’GARA’s standards.REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:Two years of automotive business office clerical experienceCDK experienceDMV Desk experienceHigh School or GEDDetail-oriented with excellent communication skills and a professional personal appearanceSelf-motivated; able to effectively prioritize tasks and organize workload to solve problemsAbility to multi-taskDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Ensuring all legal documents are received & accurateEnsuring title or valid payoff information is receivedRequesting smog and/or VIN verification, when applicableEntering registration information into CDK to collect proper fees at the time of resaleAccurately record the purchase price and issue payment for the purchasePost wholesale into accountingAccurately record the sale and profit on all wholesales in AccountingComplete title paperwork for auction or wholesaler promptlyFollow up on wholesale Accounts ReceivableProcess New & Used RegistrationProcess Out-of-State RegistrationKeep up to date on DMV renewal notices and alert the Rental Department of loaners with upcoming registration expirationReview any titling problems with the responsible managers and provide a monthly titling “cheat sheet” for missing documentationAssists with the filing of inventory and deal jackets, etc.
