We're seeking an experienced Backend Engineer to join our team.You will be joining a motivated and enthusiastic team that is focused on disrupting this landscape. This position works closely with our CTO and senior engineering team to execute on our technical roadmap. You’ll be expected to hit the ground running, working hands-on with our backend codebase and desktop sync engine, which runs on thousands of client machines. You will build features, review code, write tests, maintain infrastructure, and help define a long-term architectural vision to keep us focused during rapid growth.In this position, you will:Contribute to and evolve a scalable and reliable distributed web applicationImplement efficient data storage and retrieval strategiesDesign solutions with high availability and fault tolerance in mindStrive for quality and efficiency in all phases of the development lifecycleCollaborate with stakeholders across the companyIdentify bottlenecks and proposal solutions that can drive the company forwardRequirements10+ years of backend experience working on large-scale distributed web applicationsCapable of working on a stateful and event-driven client-side applicationUnderstands the nuances of API design with an API-first mindset.Contextual insight around shifting QA and Security to the leftComfortable with event-driven and service-oriented architecturesExperience driving complex architectural transformation from start to finishDeep understanding of cloud-based services from AWS, GCP, Azure, etc.Experience leading projects while balancing both business and technical constraintsExperience with Node.js and TypescriptBenefitsOur company culture was built around a tireless pursuit to be the best at what we do.
