RMA POSITION SUMMARY:Is your favorite part about being a Registered Medication Aide (RMA) building relationships with residents? Team members working in Crestwood, VMRC's Assisted Living neighborhoods, agree with you! As a RMA, you will encourage residents to maintain their independence and use freedom of choice while also assisting them with activities of daily living that they may not be able to perform independently. You will also assist residents with self-administration or staff administration of medication. As a RMA, you will be a part of a team who works together to bring joy and fun to their neighborhoods in both big and small ways that engage residents and staff alike.PAY RATE:Based upon previous experiences and qualifications, the RMA starting base rate of pay is $16.15 - $21.21 per hour + $2.00 shift premium per hour when scheduled to work from 2:00PM - 6:00AM, all days+ $2.00 weekend premium per hour when scheduled to work any shift (6:00AM Saturday through 6:00AM Monday)BENEFITS: Benefit-eligible employees are eligible for benefits on date of hire! If selected for a pending job offer, the candidate will be required to satisfactorily pass a background check and drug screen during the pre-employment screening process.High school graduate or GED equivalent preferred.Must have one of the following: Certified Nursing Assistant License in the Commonwealth of Virginia, Direct Care Staff Certificate, or have completed an approved Geriatric Nursing Assistant Training program.Current Medication Administration License in the Commonwealth of Virginia (or ability to obtain within 90 days from course completion).CPR and First-Aid certified or obtain certifications at VMRC within 60 days of employment.Ability to work some flexible hours, and participate in holiday activities.Ability to speak, understand, and carry out oral and written assignments in the English language.Self-motivated with ability to perform duties listed in the job description independently with limited supervision.Willing to be flexible and accommodate changing priorities.Ability to work closely with staff, residents, and families in a calm, pleasant, respectful, and professional manner; be diplomatic in resident and co-worker relations.Act and intervene independently in routine and emergency situations. RequirementsHigh school graduate or GED equivalent. Certified Nursing Assistant License or Direct Care Staff Certificate. Medication administration license in the Commonwealth of Virginia (or ability to obtain within 90 days from course completion). Must be CPR and First-Aid certified or must obtain both certifications within 60 days of employment. Must understand and carry out oral and written assignments. Must be a self-starter with the ability to perform the duties listed in the job description independently with limited supervision, self-motivated, willing to be flexible and accommodate changing priorities. Must have a pleasant personality and be able to work closely with staff and the senior population in a calm, cooperative, respectful and professional manner. Must be able to act and intervene independently in routine and emergency situations, must be diplomatic in resident and co-worker relations, work flexible hours, and participate in holiday activities.Salary Description $16.15 - $21.21/HR
