Senior Machine Learning Scientist . This is an individual contributor role focused on development of new machine learning and artificial intelligence products that power search, recommendations, and personalization decisioning for one of the biggest real-time acquisition marketing platforms in the world - reaching hundreds of millions of users every month.

The Role You Will Have:
Hands-on development of highly scalable algorithms to build products delivering text generation, retrieval augmented generation (RAG), and embedding capabilitiesLeverage knowledge of software engineering principles to guide development and deployment of production machine learning solutions that can scale to hundreds of thousands of requests per dayKeep up with the latest in machine learning and natural language understanding, semantic search, and optimal rankingActively contribute to the wider internal and external machine learning communities by sharing and publishing research and findingsWork with cross-functional teams of engineers, scientists, and analysts to devise implementation and experimentation strategiesContribute to the development of System1's roadmap for core machine learning capabilitiesWhat You Will Bring:
2+ years of hands-on experience using, fine-tuning, & deploying LLMs for text generation. Additional experience with image generation is a plusExperience with RAG, embedding capabilities, vector embeddings, and in-memory data storesExperience in 3rd party Machine Learning libraries (e.g. PyTorch, HuggingFace, Dataiku, LangChain)Experience building scalable batch and real-time machine learning productsExperience with model evaluation (e.g. Causal inference, A/B testing, data/model drift, etc.)Fluent in Python programmingExperience using cloud compute (AWS preferred) and DockerExperience sharing code through Git and utilizing CI/CDHands-on experience with Snowflake or other cloud based analytics databasesAbility to effectively communicate technical information to a wide spectrum of cross-functional team membersWhat We Offer

The U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $155,000-$233,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
