Background:Kent, Campa and Kate Incorporated (KCK) is a federal contracting company that provides professional services to Government Agencies. We are currently seeking candidates for a Data Analyst III position located in Arlington, VA.Position Summary:This position is located in the Foreign Service Institute School of Language Studies.

The School of Language Studies (FSI/SLS) is headed by a dean who is responsible for managing and maintaining a proficiency-based foreign language and culture training program.

In executing the School’s mission, the Dean is assisted by an Associate Dean for Instruction, an Associate Dean for Management, Rosslyn Campus Director, and an External Programs Coordinator.FSI/SLS develops and delivers classroom and distance learning language programs for U.S. agencies and others involved in foreign affairs-related work. Programs are in Washington, DC and at various locations abroad, and are designed to develop basic and advanced language proficiencies connected to language-designated positions; provide refresher and maintenance training; and provide short-term language programs to develop “language survival skills” and introductory language acquisition.

FSI/SLS also provides support to post language program (PLP) training and post-based immersion programs.FSI/SLS provides assistance and some direct funding to post language programs and collaborates closely with regional and functional bureaus and posts to assess and address their language needs effectively.The External Programs Coordinator provides management and programmatic oversight to language field schools abroad located in Seoul, Korea; Yokohama, Japan; and

Taipei, Taiwan (under a contractual arrangement with the American Institute in Taiwan).

Additionally, the External Programs Coordinator assists regional bureaus in coordinating full-time foreign language training programs (currently in Chinese, Arabic, and Spanish) that may be conducted in other venues abroad.Requirements:Education: Master’s degree in a related field.Experience: Five (5) years of experience in an office or professional setting; Three (3) years of relevant professional experience in data analysis or data architecture with specialized experience in business process improvement and implementation of data analysis processes and procedures is required.Ability to obtain agency public trust clearance and secret clearance.Highly proficient in the MS Office Suite, particularly MS Excel.Familiarity with software or tools used for business analytics, data analysis, and visualization such as Tableau, PowerPivot, Powerbase, Access, or Visio;Experience with Qualtrics;Experience with data visualization methods and approaches;Experience with general data analysis tasks--identifying, analyzing, and interpreting trends; acquiring data from primary or secondary data sources and maintaining databases; filtering and "cleaning" data by reviewing reports and performance indicators to locate and correct problems; developing and refining ad hoc reports; and identifying and prioritizing business and information needs;Experience working with large data sets to distill information and present to all levels of organizational leadership.Working Duties (including, but not limited to):Develops, updates, and applies data models to generate reports and analysis to inform stakeholders;Retrieves, validates, formats, and organizes a variety of data from many sources;Conducts data analysis to answer standard or recurring inquiries and identify trends, correlation, and other relationships in data sets;Works across various stakeholders to understand data trends, sources, and analysis goals and connect data to business processes to obtain a deeper understanding of potential considerations and assumptions;Provides data integration by linking data from multiple sources to conduct organizational analysis;Conducts detail-oriented tasks and analysis projects independently with minimal supervision;Creates supporting materials for analysis projects (assumptions, briefings, handouts, written documents, user guides, etc.);Develops metrics to identify trends in training and other integral data.Application Notes:Please provide a resume to include the duties and responsibilities performed for each previously held position.Please provide three (3) professional references on your resume.Applicant must currently be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis and possess US Citizenship.Kent, Campa and Kate Incorporated (KCK) is an equal opportunity employer.
