IT Digital Experience

at our

Deer Park Caustic

plant located in

Deer Park, Texas.

A successful candidate will ultimately be responsible for:

Providing primary in-person / remote support to staff in resolving incidents, fulfilling requests, and implementing approved changes for IT services at the local OxyChem plants and administrative sites (Deer Park / La Porte / Pasadena).

This includes daily onsite core work hours and occasional after hours and weekend support and travel between sites using company vehicles.

Providing secondary support for other US & Canada OxyChem manufacturing sites and headquarters (Dallas) with potential for travel up to one work week at a time, 2-4 times annually, to provide backup on-site support and assist with new staff setup.

Core desktop support duties include but are not limited to imaging and setting up user laptops/desktop machines, performing software installation, monitors and peripherals installation, IT equipment relocation, managing asset inventory, and troubleshooting Microsoft Windows operating system and Office product issues, desktop phone support, Oxy mobile app installation support.

Other duties include setup and support for non-desktop devices such as tablets and field laptops, hands-on assistance with networking and server equipment and fundamental communications / networking cabling support, Xerox printer/plotter troubleshooting and support, Audio/Visual support for conference rooms, IT equipment salvaging and retirement, application support, and end user training.

Adherence to all Oxy safety standards and complete all in-person and online required staff training as assigned by management and human resources.

Ensure protection and secure storage of the IT environment and the health and safety of our employees, customers, and the communities in which we operate and/or transport our products, as our highest priority.

Ensure all incidents, requests and changes are entered and managed in the ServiceNow ticketing system and work with outsourced service desk staff as appropriate for service needs.

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds; climb ladders and stairs; walking, bending, stooping is required.

Must be able to work in confined spaces as needed and the ability to crawl under furniture to make computer connections.
