Job Summary

Galapagos Federal Systems LLC is looking for an enthusiastic, well-qualified individual to fill the level three Civil Engineer position and to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals.

The ideal candidate will show technical ability and a wealth of experience in designing and constructing large-scale industrial facilities, overseeing every phase from site selection and preparation to construction, operations, and maintenance. Collaborating closely with the government Program Manager, as well as the Chief and Lead Engineer, this individual will play a pivotal role in the technical advancement, design, procurement, and establishment of a ground-based sensing capability. Serving as the primary liaison between the government program team and the contractor, this role assumes leadership in Civil Engineering, spearheading the planning, design, construction, operations, and maintenance of a specialized facility. In this role, you will be entrusted with comprehensive oversight of project planning, development, and review of budgets and cost elements. Additionally, you will be tasked with composing or reviewing technical reports and effectively conveying intricate findings to management and executive leadership.

Must be a U.S. Citizen. A high-level Department of Defense active security clearance may be required. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to government information.

Physical Requirements

Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time and typing and reading from a computer screen. The candidate must have enough mobility, including bending, reaching, and kneeling, to complete daily duties in a prompt and efficient manner and that may include lifting to thirty pounds, as necessary.
