JOB DESCRIPTIONCardiac device tech needs to know the EKG rhythms, but then interrogates the pacemaker or defibrillator.The Cardiac Device Technician will provide thorough, competent, interrogations and reprogramming of cardiac devices implanted in patients, including, but not limited to Pacemakers, Implantable Loop Records, and Implantable Cardiac Defibrillators.This will include checks done in office as well as remotely monitored patients.This position will do initial interrogations, report generation using service line program, and documentation in EMR, as well as bring acute/ urgent issues to the attention of the physicians or APP's.In addition, works with physicians, APP's and other Cardiac Device Technicians to ensure alert thresholds and protocols remain current in the device clinic(s).QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum two years of experience as Cardiac Device Specialist is required.Bachelor of Science in nursing or clinical degreeCardiac Device Tech experience is requiredCertification:
Basic Life Support ,Advanced Cardiac Life SupportRequirements:
COVID vaccine with 2 Shots & Booster.SKILLS/ ABILITIES/ COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills.Participates in relevant continuing education programs.Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise.A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
