General Description:

The EHR Application Analyst will assist in the development, support and functionality roll out of an Electronic Health Record system. The EHR Application Analyst assists the organization in optimizing their workflow processes through building applications that are tailored to meet the organizations' needs. Responsible for learning the EHR system's capabilities and functional use and apply knowledge of Healthcare Business workflow to assist in the implementation of a system that meets process needs.

Inability to perform these responsibilities with or without an accommodation may result in disqualification from the position.Participates in all phases of the system development life cycle including development of use cases and evaluation of software solutionsDevelops, configures, and modifies moderately complex information systemsCreates documentation of business requirements, current and future state workflowsDesigns, codes/configures, tests, debugs, documents, and maintains program/applicationsCoordinates all testing phases of associated applications during implements and upgradesSupports existing functionality with future expansion to additional areasDevelops strong relationships with end user communities, customers, and business partnersUtilizes best practices for use within the organization.Provides hands-on training as needed for end usersServes as a key onsite EHR IT resource for facility implementation and support of a broad set of healthcare applications.Acts as project manager for low to medium complex projectsLeads and facilitates the facility's core clinical and business systems team on IT activitiesProvides second level support as a broad EHR subject matter expert to resolve incidents or fulfill requestsServes as project leader for implementations of EHR applications software releases and new productsProvides on-call assistance as neededWorks with the team to lead, monitor, and facilitate new module/application testingProvides input to policies and procedures, training, and best practices for use within the organizationWorks with the team and facility core team members to deliver hands-on training as neededParticipates in meetings as a member of organizational leadership as requiredBuilds strong relationships with core customer base (nurses, physicians, revenue cycle, health information management, core team members, etc.) and facility leadershipGeneral Responsibilities:

Minimum Qualifications :

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in related field and at least 1 year of applicable IT or clinical experience

Or equivalent combination of education and experience . Four years of experience will be considered equivalent to a Bachelor's degree.

Licensure/Certifications/Registrations Required:

Specific EHR modules certification required within 3 months of class completion. Classes will begin within first 2 weeks of hire based on class availability.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Excellent analytical, organization, and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and within teams. Ability to solve complex problems and understand customer needs. Strong understanding of healthcare business process and technology. Basic understanding of healthcare workflows and terminology. Working knowledge of IT solutions and interfacing a plus. EHR Certification is required within 3 months of class completion. Must be able to drive to assigned sites to complete work. Must be able to travel in state and out of state on occasion.
