Freelance Developer (Python / Machine Learning)

Smart Design is looking for a Freelance Mid to Sr-level Backend Developer (Machine Learning/Python) to work across two exciting client projects.The role will tentatively start as soon as possible and will continue through the end of the year. The role will be remote (but if it transitions to full-time, the role will be based in NYC).

NATURALLY YOU'LL HAVE:

5+ years full-time or freelance python with a specialty in machine learningExperience with open-source computer vision object detection models such as Yolo, ResNet, DETR, etc.Experience in Machine Learning/Data Science frameworks such as Pandas, Numpy, Sci-kit and/or OpenCVExperience in working with annotation platforms such as AWS Ground Truth, Voxel51, Scale/Nucleus etcExperience with Python-based ML training and inference pipelinesExperience working in Jupyter NotebooksUnderstanding of AWS infrastructure and suite of productsUnderstanding of agile processesNice to haves:

Familiarity with robotics software frameworks such as ROSExperience with AWS Sagemaker (especially "Bring-Your-Own-Model")Experience with Flask, Django, and other web technologiesExperience with RubyFamiliarity programming within an Ubuntu Linux environment and embedded programming environmentsFamiliarity with Docker
