POSITION OVERVIEW
Our company is looking for an experienced IT Generalist with expertise in the Microsoft stack, cloud-based solutions, and AWS to join our team. The IT Generalist will be responsible for providing end-user support, managing our network infrastructure, and ensuring the security and reliability of our systems.
This IT Generalist position will sit at the 174 Power Global location in Irvine, CA reporting to the Chief Information Officer.
RESPONSIBILITIESWorking with our MSP, provide end-user support for all IT related issues, including troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software, and connectivity problemsWorking with our MSP, manage our network infrastructure, including setting up and maintaining network equipment, ensuring network security, and monitoring network performanceEnsure the security and reliability of our systems by implementing and maintaining security measures, conducting regular system backups, and performing system updates and patchesManage our IT assets, including inventory management and software licensingParticipate in the selection and implementation of new IT systems and technologies, with a focus on the Microsoft stack, AWS, and other cloud-based solutionsDocument and maintain IT procedures and user guidesAssist with IT-related projects and initiatives as neededStay up-to-date with the latest trends and developments in IT to identify opportunities for improving our systems and processesREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field5+ years of experience in IT support and network administration, with expertise in the Microsoft stack and cloud-based solutionsStrong knowledge of network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNsExperience with Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange, and other Microsoft technologiesExperience with cloud-based solutions such as Azure, Office 365, and SharePointKnowledge of AWS cloud services such as EC2, S3, and RDSKnowledge of IT security principles and best practicesRelevant security certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CISM are a plusExcellent problem-solving and analytical skillsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamRelevant IT certifications, such as MCSE, MCSA, or AWS certifications, are a plus
