THE POSITION:

Gentex is seeking a Cloud Engineer to join our Cloud Development team. We are seeking candidates who are eager to learn and grow as part of a highly collaborative, passionate software team.

As a member of the Cloud Development team, you will be developing innovative custom Cloud solutions for many diverse uses at Gentex, including customer facing products, proof of concepts, and internal engineering apps. As a Cloud Engineer you will be responsible for the architecture, design, and implementation of Cloud based software applications.

Teach and develop other engineering team members.Lead the team past technical gaps and potential roadblocks.Successfully complete complex projects, meeting quality and timing expectations.Understanding customers' needs to deliver high impact solutions.Creating cloud architectures that are secure, efficient and resilient.Developing and deploying high quality custom Cloud solutions.Automated testing.Continuous integration and continuous delivery.Peer reviewing work products (design, code, tests, documentation, etc.).High quality work product documentationCollaborating in group settings, including attending Agile process meeting.PURPOSE OF POSITION:

To develop high-quality cloud software and product applications.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Execution of full development lifecycle including: Requirements Analysis, Software Architecture, Software Design, Algorithm Design, Unit Test Development, Integration Test Development, Embedded Software Development, Software Verification and Validation.Coordinate with Software Project Engineering to meet development milestones and deadlines.Interface with Software Test to validate software function and quality.Interface with Electrical Development to assure hardware/software integration.Coordinate with Electrical Engineering Process Group to adhere to development process requirements.Coordinate with Electrical Systems for integration of software to hardware for final product function, validation, and launch to meet requirements.Interface with Mechanical Engineering, Microelectronics Assembly, Electronics Assembly, Final Assembly, Applied Materials, and Quality departments to support the execution of Electrical Engineering products into applications.Participate in Product Launch Teams as required.SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Maintain knowledge of company electrical, mechanical, test, and manufacturing practices and engineer consistent with them.Avoid company politics and promote cooperation and consensus teamwork for the common good of all employees across all departments.Performs other miscellaneous duties as required.Complying with all Company policies and procedures, safety regulations, company safety policies and safely perform all duties, including but not limited to, promoting a safe workplace.Maintaining high level of honesty, integrity and confidentiality with respect to company matters.POSITION DEMANDS:

B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline.4 years+ of Cloud experience or equivalent.Experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, REST, SQL, NoSQL, HTML, CSSExperience with Docker, Amazon Web Services (AWS) CDK, AWS Lambda, AWS S3, AWS Cognito, AWS Elastic Container Service, AWS IAM, AWS IoT Core, Git.Experience developing in a Linux environment is required.Experience working in an Agile development team.Technical experience in software development.Detailed, ongoing, current knowledge of electronics components and systems.High proficiency in C, C++ languages, assembly languages, and real time operating systems.In-depth knowledge of embedded systems.BEHAVIORAL/VALUES CHARACTERISTICS:
