9395 CROWN CREST BLVD, Parker, 80138The community you’ll be caring for:AdventHealth Parker is a Level II Trauma Center that serves our community by providing excellent, community-focused health care.Since we opened our doors in 2004, we have grown into a regional medical center.In 2017, we received the designation of a Magnet Recognized Hospital.In 2018, we became one of the only five hospitals in the nation, and the only hospital in Colorado, to receive Joint Commission Certification for Bariatrics.We have 170 Licensed beds, 23 Emergency Department private rooms, and 13 surgical suites.The role you’ll contribute:The Surgical Tech works under the supervision of the surgeon and RN. Assists surgical team during operative procedures by arranging and inventorying sterile set-up of instruments, equipment and supplies for surgical cases and passing items to surgeons and nurses as needed. Assists in preparing and moving patients and sterilizing and cleaning instruments, equipment, and rooms.The value you’ll bring to the team:Uses physician preference card to identify supplies and equipment needed for the scheduled surgical or emergency procedures. Updates preference cards with any necessary changes.Sets up sterile table with instruments, supplies, equipment, and medications/solutions needed for procedure.Prepares solutions and medications used. Properly labels and reports amounts used for charting.Prepare back table and mayo stand anticipating needs of the surgeon and through the use of the surgeon’s preference card.Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:Education: HS GED or DiplomaSuccessful Course Completion, Completion of an approved Surgical Technician programExperience: Basic Computer skills required. One year of experience in a surgical setting preferred.Credential: Basic Life Support - Source: American Heart AssociationCredential: Department of Regulatory Agencies*Current registration with the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA) as a surgical technologist for associates working in Colorado. * A person performing Surgical Tech functions within the scope of another clinical Colorado license, certification, or registration does not need to register as a Surgical TechCredential: Certified Surgical Tech -National*Certification in Surgical Technology from the National Board Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or Certification as a Tech in Surgery from the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)
