Position Function/Purpose

The office clerk shall carry out all office related activities as assigned by the building principal.

Essential functions

1. Basic typing

2. Alphabetize and file

3. Good telephone skills with the public

4. Work in a cooperative manner with coworkers and teachers

5. Maintain accurate attendance reports in a prompt manner

6. Prepare accurate attendance reports in a prompt manner

7. Check and verify student absences

8. Keep all attendance information, verify and complete each year

9. Perform related duties as assigned by the supervisor

10. Cross train with secretary

Qualification Requirements

1. High school diploma or GED

2. Have or be eligible for state certification

3. Basic typing skills

4. Basic computer skills
