About the Mission You Will Join: The Air Force Chief Information Security Officer is tasked to provide oversight and policy guidance to enable mission assurance through effective Cybersecurity risk management across all Air Force core mission areas.

Your Impact to the Mission:

VMD has an exciting opportunity for you to join as a Senior Cybersecurity Risk Analyst. In this role you will:Proactively provide advice and assistance to support the development of policy, governance, processes, and assessment of cybersecurity programs in furtherance of its requirements and responsibilities. This support will enable the CISO to execute its role as the focal point for Cybersecurity Programs ensuring all programs and systems are compliant with federal laws and regulations, industry standards and DoD Directives.Experience Needed to Be Successful:

Possess strong analytical skills and provide expertise and flexibility to achieve a broad range of Cybersecurity functions, assessing existing systems to ultimately ensure compliance with capabilities directed in Acquisition, Cybersecurity, and other correlative policies. These services are critical to ensure that systems seeking SAF/CIO A6Z approval can meet all federal, DoD, and AF regulatory and statutory requirements.Experience in working with programs in the early stages of development to partner providing guidance and insight leading to successful program approval and fielding.Experience with Cross Domain Solution (CDS) and authorization processExperience with Defense Security/Cybersecurity Authorization Working Group (DSAWG) and Information Security Risk Management Committee (ISRMC)Experience submitting request on System/Network Approval Process (SNAP) and SIPRNet GIAP System (SGS)Air Force specific RMF experience with exceptions to policyExperience reviewing and developing recommendations on Cyberspace Security - CSS (ATO) packages of various agency systems; must be able to analyze the documentation/package assess gaps if any, and work with the program to mitigate any gaps before it goes to the CISO with a recommendation for approval.Experience working with new systems at the onset to position them for success when final assessment and approval are needed to field knowledge of the following DoDI's and AFMAN:Department of Defense Instruction (DoDI) 5205.08, Access to U.S. ClassifiedCryptographic InformationDoDI S-5200.16, Objectives and Minimum Standards for Communications SecurityMeasures Used in Nuclear Command and Control CommunicationsDoDI 8523.01, Communications SecurityAir Force Manual (AFMAN) 17-1302 OBasic Qualifiers:
