Join a dedicated team supporting the UDS contract at NGA.Responsibilities:What you get to do every day:Responsible for working with highly functional development team automating service deployments; optimizing system performance; integrating with enterprise authentication services; establishing/improving system monitoring; maintaining established security protocols; provide customers technical support.
The Cloud Engineer will be integrated with an agile environment participating with scrums and other meetings.
Maintain security requirements for operation of systemsMaintain and improve existing infrastructure (build out autoscaling, support new services, optimize for cost efficiencies/authentication/search, etc)Produce detailed documentationMaintain System in AWS environment using EC2, S3, Load Balancer, RDS, and IAMManage and Maintain AWS WorkSpacesAutomate and optimize service deploymentsDelivering a full-stack web application to production; identifying and resolving operational issues in sameActively participating in technical requirements-gathering process (i.e. meetings with customers)Executing design and implementation of application features, independently / unassisted, with minimal oversightWriting and reading unit tests; understanding code-quality analysis conceptsWriting and debugging Javascript, Typescript, or closely-related languageDeveloping applications backed by a relational database; understanding RDB design conceptsQualifications:Clearance:

Strong Troubleshooting skills at the Tier 1-3 level
Angular frontend framework; UI/UX design
Microservice-based backend architecture; integrating with COTS/FOSS software REST APIs
CI/CD pipeline implementation, ideally with GitLab
Strong Knowledge of Active Directory
Windows/Linux/Ubuntu/CentOS Administration experience
Desktop support
Domain/System Administrator experience
Be a team collaborator
What is ideal?Desired Certifications: AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner and/or Agile/SAFeStrong understanding of cloud APIs and interaction with the AWS/CLI
Experience working with one or more programming languages (e.g. Python, Ruby, or Java)
Familiarity with HTML, CSS, Markdown, and portal development
Database experience with a Postgres backend
Experience in automating tasks using scripted languages such as Bash, PowerShell, or Perl
Familiarity with DevOps development processes and Continuous Integration tools: GitLab, GitLab Pages, and Nexus
Knowledge of Confluence and Jira
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodology
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Analytical and problem solving skills
Experience in technical operations at DOD agencies, particularly NGA and DIA
