Business Intelligence Analyst

POSITION SUMMARY:

A Business Intelligence Analyst is responsible for BI projects and support servicing all business units of Tasteful Partners. The trends they identify will typically be used by other departments in the business to improve internal processes and business decisions. A Business Intelligence Analyst is also the first level of support for ad hoc analysis and requests, responding to users, identifying various training needs, trouble shooting, modification etc. Primary day-to-day responsibility for maintaining the BI environment and its data integrity. This includes gathering and analyzing data in support of business cases, proposed projects, and systems requirements. Responsible for working with colleagues for daily production support of BI environment. Applies proven communication, analytical and problem-solving skills to help maximize the benefit of the analytics team.

On-site/RemoteDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Serves as the first level for ad hoc analytics requests.Assists functional areas with user testing and training.Assist users become more efficient using the BI tools.Reviewing and validating data using tools such as Excel, SQL, Python and Power BI.Create and maintain Power BI reports.Distribute reports to various business units.Design and support Extract, Transform, and Load processes.Gathering end user reporting and dashboard requirements.Work with Business Analysts on mid-to-large projects to help obtain technical requirements for projects.Perform ad-hoc analysis across all business units of Tasteful Partners.Communicate insights to management and across the organization.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of related education and experienceExcellent written and communication skillsBasic knowledge of reporting softwareProficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related softwareAbility to collect and compile dataExtremely organized with great attention to detailExcellent ability to analyze information and think systematicallyStrong business analytical skillsWorks well independently and as part of a teamThorough understanding of the company’s business processes and industryAbility to handle databases and understand technology-driven business intelligence toolsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Two to four years of related experienceExperience with Power BI and SSASExperience with SQLPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to sit at a desk for extended periods and perform computer-based tasksComfortable working in an office environment, utilizing standard office equipment such as computers, telephones, and printersAbility to lift and carry objects weighing up to 30 poundsComfortable performing physical tasks that may involve bending, stooping and reaching
