Digital Marketing Specialist

Northern Trust is looking for a digital marketing specialist to join our Wealth Management Marketing team. We're seeking a professional with hands-on experience conceptualizing, building, launching and optimizing successful internal and external email and event programs within Marketo, Populo, Salesforce and ON24. The candidate must have Marketo and Salesforce experience specifically with campaign creation, execution, email marketing, virtual events and translating business objectives into successful multi-channel programs. The ideal candidate is both strategic and technical, data and results driven, and has a passion for digital marketing.

Key

Responsibilities:

Manages digital projects using marcom tools including Marketo, Salesforce CRM, Salesforce Campaigns and Reporting, employee communication platforms, ON24 and emerging technology.Work with key stakeholders to define KPIs, create reporting, analyze campaign performance. Create recommendations to improve campaigns continuously assist in the development of strategy and testing/optimization plans.Implements email and virtual event campaigns using Marketo including copy, appropriate tracking, testing, maintaining all appropriate documentation, and all other portions to prepare an email for deployment. Makes adjustments to correct email errors during testing to ensure best customer experience.Stay aware of new Marketo, digital and email marketing trends and make recommendations for strategic improvements to continually optimize and develop the effectiveness of our digital marketing strategy.Contributing to the development of Wealth Management's overall digital marketing strategy, with a focus on email marketingThe successful candidate will benefit from having:

B.S. or B.A. degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or equivalent professional experience4+ years of Marketing experience desired, financial services experience preferred.Experience using Marketo or other marketing automation program, specifically in building, testing and deploying email and event programs and campaigns.Ability to think strategically with a strong ability to execute plans and exceed expectations and project goals.Excellent structured communication skills with the ability to frame complex digital marketing, CRM and technical concepts in a way that facilitates discussion and deeper levels of understanding for our stakeholders.Proven success in driving results-oriented marketing programs and strategies, and the ability to proactively identify opportunities for improvement and optimization.Must be able to speak to and demonstrate knowledge in the digital marketing field.Proficient on Salesforce Sales Cloud/Salesforce Financial Service Cloud and can provide best practice recommendations in terms of sales and marketing alignment via the technology.Technical problem-solving skillsPreferred Qualifications:

Working knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, CSS or other email development coding is a plus.Experience with ON24 or other virtual event management tool is a plus.Experience with Adobe Experience Manager is a plus.
