GENERAL SUMMARY

The Solution Architect is responsible for the support, development and integration of solutions deployed within the USAHS technical stack. Working collaboratively within IT, this position must be able to develop, test, debug, migrate, maintain, document and support solutions implemented for our customers. In addition to creating new solutions, this position is responsible for providing application support to internal customers by troubleshooting operational issues and developing/implementing appropriate fixes to existing solutions, enabling continued usage to meet customer needs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESCollaborate with vendor / external consultants in ongoing application implementation projects to help gather business user requirements, design, configure, test and implement applications and modules.Provides cross-product/cross-technology expertise to capability teams, provides input on and evaluates solution design and is consulted during release planning (e.g., standards for solution design; determination of best practices, etc).Engages with the business and teams during ideation and design, guides technology selection, develops architectural artifacts in partnership with lead engineer and dev team(s) and ensure compliance with security, identity and access management, Enterprise Architecture, etc.Help to identify interfaces required for SIS with other IT systems; collaborate with vendor / external consultant to design, configure and test interfacesLead design and solution workshops, review and decision makingAssesses the current IT environment and develops a future state IT architecture in partnership with Enterprise Architecture.Develops and maintains policies, standards, and guidelines to ensure that a consistent technology framework is applied across the company, maintains awareness and visibility of organizational standards and best practices.Promote, and lead by example, a DevOps culture where the team is expected and empowered to own each aspect of the development, promotion, and operation of their codeCoordinate new software releases, production fixes and upgrades with technical teams and usersRecommend new features or changes to configuration / workflows based on user and vendor feedbackModify, configure, design, and test new interfaces for applications with other IT systems based on user requirement.Develop and execute Salesforce data management strategy.Based on application changes required, provide Infrastructure requirements to Infrastructure teamDevelop and document system configurations, procedures and hardware as appropriatePerform database inquires and audit to verify system integrityConduct in-depth tests for application modifications or implementation of new systemsOTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESProvide technical support and guidance to application users; Work closely with internal and external service providers as required

Bachelors' Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field, Master's degree is a plusAt least 7 years' experience in Salesforce AdministrationAt least 5 years' experience in a leading role delivering Salesforce projects and other technical solutionsExperience in all phases of the development lifecycleExperience with Higher Education and Health Sciences preferredExperience with web development is a plusFamiliarity with systems integrations such as CRM, Content Management, POS/Commerce, or Web Analytics preferredBUSINESS COMPETENCIES

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work is performed primarily in a standard office environment but may involve exposure to moderate noise levels. Work involves operation of personal computer equipment for six to eight hours daily and includes physical demands associated with a traditional office setting, e.g., walking, standing, communicating, and other physical functions as necessary.

Hiring Range

$113,100 - $162,750 Compensation is a reasonable estimate and will be determined using the hiring range listed above and factors including, but not limited to, skillset, level of experience, education, and physical work location, to the extent consistent with applicable law.
