About the Role
The ACS Integrations Platform team is responsible for envisioning, architecting, and driving Envoy's long-term vision for success in Access Control Systems (ACS) management, and how Envoy interfaces with large scale vendors, both as an engineering principle, and as a core product feature. This team rotates between solving for scaling issues, such as performance and optimization, to infrastructure-adjacent concerns such as rate limiting and connection reuse, to internal developer experience through an ever-evolving integration SDK.
This is a hybrid position that requires at least 3 days a week (Tuesday - Thursday) in our San Francisco HQ.You willStand up new services that improve the safety, reliability, and accuracy of our access control systemsExamine, improve, and challenge the existing modalities of how we manage ACS todayCollaborate with team members to bounce ideas off each other and see delivery of value to customers from start to finishDesign MVPs with strong technical foundations, and iterate on them with product feedbackYou have5+ years of software engineering experience or coding experienceBS / MS in Computer Science or a related technical fieldCreated and supported APIs (REST, JSON/HTTP, GraphQL)Typescript or Kotlin development experience in writing, maintaining, and debugging code in a production environment.Domain knowledge such as message queues, sharding, auto scaling, and access patternsStrong technical foundations for patterns and anti-patterns in software engineeringAn inner product champion who takes pride in knowing and planning what great can look like, not just goodYou areAn exceptional writer and spoken communicatorHighly organized & autonomousComfortable and energized operating in a fast moving organizationPassionate about our product and working with Enterprise sized businessesEntrepreneurial and self-motivatedConsultative with demonstrable experienceEnthusiastic about learning and growing at EnvoyIntellectually curious and ambitiousYou'll get

Compensation description
Envoy's compensation package includes market competitive salary, equity for all full time roles, and great benefits. If you are located in
San Francisco Bay Area , our expected cash compensation for this role is
$170K- $200K
(Annually). Final offers may vary within the range provided based on experience, expertise, and other factors.
