Primary Talent Partners has a Senior Java Consultant role with a Premier Investment Bank in NYC
Role will involve working with cutting edge Market Data and Trade Execution platform for Algo Trading.Role Description• Hands-on development using Java 17 as the primary language• Work with other teams including front office risk teams, trading desk, Quants, and DevOps to build pricing and risk solutions• Continuous improvement of the development and release environment, tooling, and processes• Directly working Rates business front office sales and trading• Work closely with the operation team and users and provide level 3 support as required
Role Objectives
Challenges candidates will face in this role• Understand complex business model• Ability to deliver under pressure high performance software and mission critical applications• The candidate will have to work with a diverse global team and user base.
Qualifications and Skills
Hands-on development with Java as the primary language; experience with Java 17• Experience from working in the pricing and risk domain in investment banking• In-depth knowledge in Rates products• Strong fundamental Computer Science knowledge including Concurrency; Algorithms and data structures,• Proactive self-starter who is able to take initiative and roll up sleeves to get things done.• Scrum/agile methodology• Evidence of delivering application from inception, to design, and to production• Extensive experience of test driven development• Knowledge of CI/CD on large complex systems
