The NFL Players Association is looking for an

HR Manager

to join our Human Resources team. The Human Resources Department oversees the daily personnel function of the NFLPA, NFL Players Inc. and The Trust, acting as a strategic partner that attracts, retains, and engages a skilled and diverse workforce. The Human Resources Department is dedicated to the implementation of long-term initiatives geared toward the professional development, management, and well-being of all employees.An ideal HR Manager candidate should have a minimum of five years of HR experience; PHR or SHRM-CP certification is preferred. Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of HR principles, practices and federal and state labor laws is a must. Interested individuals should have strong organizational and record keeping abilities along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, maintaining the highest level of confidentiality and integrity.Primary responsibilities include:

Assists with the administration and execution of talent management initiatives, including bi-annual performance review process, training and development, employee surveys and special reports.Handles employee relations matters, providing counseling and recommendation for corrective action as needed.Coordinates the talent acquisition process, including recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants; provides guidance on candidate selection.Assists with new hire onboarding process; schedules and conducts periodic check-ins to ensure seamless integration and positive experience.Administers employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, HRA, disability, worker’s compensation, leaves of absence, childcare assistance, and other employee wellness programs ensuring effective utilization.Handles staff inquiries related to benefits; identifies and connects employees to additional resources as requested.HIPAA privacy officer and COBRA administrator, ensuring the organization’s compliance with relevant laws and regulations.Conducts exit interviews; makes actionable recommendations based on data collected when needed.Manages the NFLPA Internship Program, including coordinating selection process, orientation and exit interviews along with creating and executing internship programming.Manages employee morale-building activities and community service initiatives.The NFL Players Association is the Union representing all active NFL players. Over 60 years ago, NFL players approached owners with a list of demands, including clean socks and jocks. The fight that ensued over issues ranging from fair wages, safe working conditions and basic employee benefits formed the foundation for what is now the NFL Players Association.
