NoPosition Purpose:To provide all aspects of direct patron service at the Baker-Berry public service desks and provide support for other areas of Access and Delivery Services and the library.

Description:Required Qualifications - Education and Yrs Exp:

Bachelors or equivalent combination of education and experienceRequired Qualifications - Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:• Strong verbal, written, analytical and interpersonal communication skills.

• Demonstrated ability to organize work efficiently; set and modify work priorities; while under pressure and despite interruptions.

• Ability to work collegially in a team environment.

• Customer service experience with a diverse clientele.

Preferred Qualifications:• Two to three years relevant library experience.

Key Accountabilities

Description:Staff public service desks at Baker-Berry Library, performing various patron related duties. Responds to a variety of in-person, telephone, and email information requests and refers questions to librarians as appropriate. May serve as a staff member responsible for Baker-Berry Library on assigned weekends, evenings, intersessions, and holidays. Monitors building security and contacts Safety and Security should problems arise.

Percentage Of Time:

50%Description:Provides support for other areas of Access Services and the library, including work on assigned projects.

Percentage Of Time:

40%Description:Participates on Dartmouth College Library committees and task forces representing circulation and reserve services. Actively engages in ongoing professional development.
