L3 Engineer/CISCO Wireless LAN- DWS

Location: Massachusetts Avenue, US

Roles & Responsibilities-

Our team is Looking for L3 engineer with proven technical skills. Continually keep informed of industry technology in order to provide customers with the best possible solutions to meet their technical constraints and business objectives

Working knowledge on tools:

NetBrain, Splunk, Cisco Prime , NNMI , Service NOW ticketing tools , DNAC

Mandatory Technical Skills:

Cisco routing, switching ,wireless, Nexus Data center, Cisco certified (CCNP level and above)

Additional Responsibilities into L3 Engineer/ CISCO Wireless Network engineer-

Worked in LAN support setup through Incident management , problem management an ITIL trained resource.

Should be able to implement, design, configure, and troubleshoot Network Infrastructure issues, new site setups.

Working knowledge should include cisco devices such as Switches, firewalls, IPS, Wireless controllers, access points, WAN optimizers etc.

Good issues RCA , Network analysis, Network design, device configurations, operations, support maintenance.

Responsible for Data Center & BAU Network operations, support & project implementation.

Contribute towards new and on-going Technology projects in areas of Network Scalability, Performance and High Availability, Network expansion.

Work effectively in technology discussions with Architects and Service Line managers.

Excellent communication skills and technical articulation will be needed

Must troubleshoot issues related to guest wireless , WLCs , Access points (APs)

Manage and technically drive P1 / P2 calls.

100% On-Site Business Hours Support (9am to 5pm) – 181 Massachusetts Avenue, Cambridge, MA

OT/On Call – rare but will be pre-planned.

Experience level up to 10 years, ideally between 6 to 8 years.

Average 3 to 4 tickets per day support.

Excellent Written/Spoken Communication Skills – has to be client/customer facing. Attention to detail.

Looking for a Network Engineer with not just Projects based experience, more on Operational Support Technical Engineer.

At least CCNP Certification

Strong foundation/experience in design, build LAN/DC, switches, etc.

Qualifications:Qualifications

Must Have

NetBrain

Cisco Prime

Change Management Experience

DNAC (understand wireless environment, controllers, etc.)

Service NOW or Similar Ticketing Tool

Nice to Have

Monitoring tools like Splunk, NNMI – there is a separate Tools/Monitoring team.

Firewall experience.

ITIL Certification

Worked in an Enterprise environment such as Novartis / any major US based enterprise.
