SUMMARYBlue Sky is looking for an experienced Enterprise Architect to join our team and provide thought leadership and technical implementation expertise in the design, development, and governance of Microsoft Power Platform, Java, and other relevant technologies. As an Enterprise Architect, you will be responsible for developing an overarching enterprise architecture for our client to support major business initiatives and implementing a comprehensive architectural roadmap to support customer technology modernization efforts to move to low-code/no-code and cloud-based architectures. You will also be responsible for establishing and maintaining technology standards, reviewing and addressing End of Life (EOL) considerations on a periodic basis with the customer Enterprise Operations, Development, and Security teams, and providing oversight and guidance regarding the enterprise architecture.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIESThis role shall provide types of support to our customers:
Develop and implement an overarching enterprise architecture to support major business initiativesDevelop and implement a comprehensive architectural roadmap for the support of the technology modernization effort to move to low-code/no-code and cloud-based architecturesEstablish and maintain technology standards profile, review and address End of Life (EOL) considerations on a periodic basis with the Enterprise Operations, Development and Security teamsProvide oversight and guidance regarding the enterprise architecture to development teamsConduct Analysis of Alternatives (AOAs) to select technologies to incorporate into the target architectureEstablish Architecture Working Group (AWG) meetings for the purpose of providing architecture updates and technical knowledge exchangeRegularly assess and report on compliance with the architecture, documenting deviations and rationalesWork with the CIO, SIO, and other business and technical team members on the use of AI in the organization and how it's represented in the Enterprise ArchitectureWork with staff on developing policies and standards for citizen development and how it is handled withinParticipate in project intake assessments, release planning, and change advisory board meetingsConduct an assessment of the system portfolio from multiple perspectives to identify, document, and support recommendations on architectural alignment, investment composition, changes to the target architectureProvide consulting support services for the planning and implementation of a robust data management program that supports Agency Enterprise Architectures as well as conform to the Federal Enterprise Architecture Program's DRMSupport the development and maintenance of a comprehensive Data Management Programs that include key components such as data architecture, data dictionary, data models, data and metadata repositories, data stewardship, data quality, data acquisition, data usage, and data retentionIdentify and document hardware and software technology refresh recommendationsManage the backlog of the Enterprise Architecture team, working with the Federal Manager to establish priorities and report against progressProactively identify risk and issues, documenting them in the approved toolsDevelop status reports and presenting status to the Federal Manager on a regular basisAttend regularly scheduled and ad hoc meetings with team members.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
7+ years of experience in enterprise architecture, with a background in software development and designExperience conducting Analysis of Alternatives (AOAs) to select technologies to incorporate into target architectureExperience establishing Architecture Working Group (AWG) meetings for the purpose of providing architecture updates and technical knowledge exchangeKnowledge and experience designing and implementing low-code/no-code and cloud-based architecturesKnowledge and experience developing and implementing data management programsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsStrong leadership and project management skillsCERTIFICATIONS
TOGAF, FEAF, or Zachman Enterprise Architect certification is highly preferredMicrosoft Power Platform Solution Architect certification is highly preferred
EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related fieldCONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
