Regional Category Manager- Specialty Packaging

Regional Category Manager - Specialty Packaging (Any Category experience within procurement is viable!)COGS is collaborating with the largest US based independent specialty lubricant manufacturer- A multibillion dollar company. Their niche is provide high quality lubricants and services to automotive, appliance, aerospace manufacturers, pharmaceuticals, transportation, mining, and energy clients.The Regional Category Manager is responsible for the strategic development and execution of the specialty packaging category within a growing procurement business unit and responsible for managing the strategy for the company and all associated business units across the US. This position will partner with cross-functional teams to develop and implement category plans that align with the overall business strategy. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the specialty packaging market, as well as experience in developing and managing supplier relationships.

Responsibilities:

Develop and execute category plans that align with the overall business strategy

Manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts

Monitor market trends and identify new opportunities

Develop and implement marketing plans for the specialty packaging category

Track and analyze category performance data

Reports in to VP of supply chain

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in business or a related field

5+ years of experience in relevant industry (Manufacturing/Industrial/Chemical etc)

Strong understanding of the supply chain process

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
