Division of Rheumatology

Department of Medicine

  • The Department of Medicine at National Jewish Health is actively seeking dynamic BC/BE Rheumatologists that have a primary focus in clinical rheumatology to expand a growing Division.
  • The Department is also seeking a Physician-Scientist to lead the research endeavors in the field of autoimmunity and targeted therapies.

The Division currently has three Rheumatologists, two Physician-Scientists and two dedicated Rheumatology Advanced Practice Providers. The Division currently sees the entire spectrum of rheumatic disease. The faculty also work closely with world-class physicians in other divisions in a multidisciplinary fashion to evaluate and manage patients within the states as well as patients coming from other states and at times other countries.

  • National Jewish Health is home to outstanding Departments of Radiology as well as Immunology and Genomic Medicine which include world class Immunologists with interests in autoimmunity and Computational Biologists whose basic and translational science research programs contribute to the Division's success.
  • The Division has in-house infusion centers, physical therapy, musculoskeletal ultrasound Sjgrens Clinic and bone health clinic.
  • The division is part of Autoimmune Lung Disease Program.
  • The Division has unfettered access to the Institutions full service Clinical Research Enterprise that supports NIH-sponsored, industry-sponsored, and investigator-initiated investigation, as well as an Institutional Bio-specimen Bank and Research Informatics Services.
  • The division members can have an academic appointment through the University of Colorado.

Position responsibilities include:

  • Outpatient clinical care
  • Teaching residents and fellows, and participation in all academic facets of the Division.
  • Participating in CME programs
  • Physician-Scientist track is available for the outstanding candidates

 Qualifications:

  • BC in Internal Medicine.
  • BC/BE in Rheumatology and have a strong commitment to clinical care and/or research
  • Eligible to hold a Colorado license.
