Adventist Health Hanford Family Medicine Residency Program is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Family Medicine Residency Core Faculty Member. Responsibilities:
- Teaching and Mentorship: Devote 32 hours weekly to the administration of the residency program and education/supervision of residents. Provide clinical supervision, instruction, and mentorship to residents in both outpatient and inpatient settings. Facilitate didactic sessions, workshops, and case-based discussions to enhance residents' clinical knowledge and skills.
- Curriculum Development: Contribute to the development, implementation, and evaluation of the family medicine residency curriculum. Collaborate with other faculty members to ensure that the curriculum reflects current best practices and meets accreditation requirements.
- Clinical Care: Maintain an active clinical practice in family medicine. Provide comprehensive primary care services to patients of all ages, including preventive care, acute care, chronic disease management, and health promotion.
- Scholarship and Research: Engage in scholarly activities, including research, quality improvement projects, and academic presentations/publications. Support residents in scholarly endeavors and encourage a culture of lifelong learning and inquiry.
- Committee Participation: Serve on departmental and institutional committees as assigned. Contribute to program leadership, strategic planning, and quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Board certification in Family Medicine required.
- Eligibility for medical licensure in California.
- Experience providing patient care in a rural or underserved area preferred
- Prior experience teaching medical students and/or residents preferred.
