Northwest Texas Healthcare System is assisting Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC), Amarillo campus in recruiting a fellowship-trained BC/BE Trauma Surgeon for an employed faculty position providing trauma, acute, and critical care services at our hospital in Amarillo, TX.

Opportunity highlights:
- Employed position and faculty appointment with TTUHSC Amarillo
- NWTHS is the trauma center for the 26-county Texas Panhandle

- Hospital has ~ 1,600 trauma admissions annually
- Wide range of case types
- Surgical and Trauma call coverage on a rotating, block monthly schedule
- Current team of four Trauma surgeons and one Trauma surgical P.A.
- Surgical consultations and follow-up care in the clinic at TTUHSC Amarillo campus
- Provide medical education and supervision to residents and medical students in surgical rotations

Qualifications:
- BC in General Surgery and Surgical Critical Care
- Successful completion of an ACGME-accredited surgical residency program
- Successful completion of an ACGME-accredited SCC/Trauma fellowship
- Exemplary clinical skills, a team spirit, collegiality, and interest in teaching
- Clean background and medical license record
