Merakey is looking for a Psychiatrist at our facility in Pittsburgh, PA. Merakeys Dual Diagnosis Treatment Team (DDTT) is a community-based program, providing treatment, support, and education to adults dually diagnosed with both a mental illness and intellectual development disability. Individuals referred are in crisis, at risk of losing community tenure, and/or are transitioning from acute care hospitalization.

DDTT is comprised of a specialized mobile team of professionals including a Psychiatrist, Behavioral Specialist, Recovery Coordinators, Psychiatric Nurse, and Pharmacist. The Psychiatrist will drive the clinical treatment medication management, sign off on treatment plans, complete initial and re-evaluations.

Services are delivered in a combination of face to face, office based, and telehealth where permitted to support individual need.

Schedule: 10 to 12 hours per week, ideally Monday, Wednesday and Friday

Part time employed Physician or 1099 contractor are available.

Requirements
  • Psychiatrist in PA.
  • 1 year clinical experience working with adults with mental illness and developmental disabilities (Dually Diagnosed).
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of dually diagnosed individuals, recovery principles and recovery driven service system.
  • Professional credentials should be current as dictated by the State licensing standards and Professional Licensing Board.
  • Valid PA Driver's License and appropriate state and federal clearances.
  • Must have current PA DEA
