Overview:

The Lyric Repertory Company, a professional theatre company at Utah State University in Logan, Utah, seeks a Tech Intern with practical experience in all areas of theatre lighting and sound work. The position is seasonal and full-time with onsite residency required.Responsibilities:Work alongside seasoned professionals, adhere to directions, timelines, tasks and additional responsibilities as communicated by the master electrician or audio engineer; participate in all sound system and lighting setup and installation and general maintenance of equipment, support master electrician during light hang & focus in all venues as needed; serve as board op or run crew on all shows as assigned; assist with load-ins, cleaning, repairs, changeovers and strike week. Other duties as assigned.Qualifications:Minimum Qualifications:Currently enrolled in a university theatre or entertainment program.Experience in electrics.Willingness to work at heights and tight places.Strong understanding of theatre and production practices.Board op experience.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Basic knowledge of sound mixing, light board programming, QLab, Clearcom, Vectorworks, projectors, and Isadora.Strong willingness to learn and work hard as part of a team.
