Job Overview

We are currently seeking an experienced Journeyman level Precision Deburr/Finisher to join our talented Machine Shop team in Redmond, Washington. This position typically works 4 10-hour days (Monday- Thursday, 5:00am-3:30pm) but candidates must be willing and available to work other shifts or overtime as needed to meet delivery schedules.

In our Redmond, WA, site (Seattle area), we fabricate, assemble, and test chemical and electric thrusters, as well as small scale propulsion systems. Our electric propulsion systems enable a wide variety of missions from the exploration of our solar system to global communication and the surveillance of severe weather and wild fires.

Essential Functions

Perform precision deburring and finishing under up to 20X power magnification on close tolerance space hardware. Hold tolerances of .002" to .005" on edge breaks and radiuses. Maintain a rejection rate of less than 2%. Read and understand engineering blueprints and follow production plans. Use precision measuring instruments such as Calipers, Micrometers, etc.

Set-up and operate Die grinders, Angle grinders and Pencil grinders for blending procedures.

Operate micro-blaster.

Requirements

Requires a high school diploma (or equivalent) and six+ (6) years of close tolerance deburr experience. Knowledge of machining materials such as aluminum, tool, alloy, carbon steels, stainless steel, titanium, plastics and Inconel is preferred. Requires the willingness and ability to work overtime as necessary.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $28.13/hr MIN - $52.16/hr MAX.
