Arcadis seeks a Senior Water/Wastewater Project Manager with a minimum of 20+ years’ experience, to join our Water Resilience team in Minneapolis, MN. This is a “seller / manager / SME” role to win and direct water, wastewater, and stormwater projects as a client-facing project manager in the Minnesota and Wisconsin markets, a senior mentor to coach and hire water staff in the Minneapolis office, and a national subject matter expert and technical resource with significant dashed line responsibilities with our national Buried Infrastructure Team.Arcadis is the world's leading company delivering sustainable design, engineering, and consultancy solutions for natural and built assets.We are more than 36,000 people, in over 70 countries, dedicated to improving quality of life. With the power of many curious minds, together we can solve the world’s most complex challenges and deliver more impact together.Role description:Leverage experience and client relationships to win water work, especially water distribution system rehabilitation, wastewater collection system inflow/infiltration reduction techniques, trenchless technology pipeline installations and stormwater management, including investigations, studies, analysis, designs, and construction administration services, especially in the Minnesota and Wisconsin markets but also nationally.Lead and direct the trenchless projects in either a client-facing project manager or technical subject matter expert role with primary responsibilities in the mid-North and secondary responsibilities nationally.Mentor and train junior staff on performance of the above-mentioned engineering services in both the Minneapolis office as well as other offices when pursuing and implementing conveyance projects. Role accountabilities:Managing the planning, design, and construction administration of projects to ensure compliance with contracts, drawings, specifications, codes, statutes, rules, and regulations, as well as Arcadis quality and safety practices.Communicate with clients, establishing goals and objectives for project teams, and scheduling and coordinating resources to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the performance expectations of the client.Provide technical expertise on rehabilitation of existing underground pipeline systems and trenchless technology installation of new pipelines as a design leader, QA/QC reviewer or technical advisor.Supervise and support the work of others while mentoring junior level engineers and technical staff during performance of studies, analysis, investigations, designs, and construction administration.Work directly with clients to determine needs and deliver solutions and lead the growth of client relationships with target clients in the Twin Cities Metropolitan Area.Lead/Support teams in the marketing and proposal phases of projects including preparation of winning proposals and successful presentations, as well as developing scopes of work and budgets for various water, wastewater, and stormwater projects, nationally.Required QualificationsMinimum 20 years of water / wastewater and stormwater experience.Project management experience including at least 15 years of demonstrated experience managing small to mid-sized, municipal water, wastewater or stormwater projects with responsibilities similar to those described above.Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or related field of study.Professional Engineer (PE) Licenses in Minnesota or Wisconsin.Key Skills and AbilitiesTeam leadership experience including managing overall project delivery expectations, prioritizing tasks, and mentoring.Experience in the preparation of construction documents.Client management skills, including preparation and development of proposals and client relationship building.Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.Active in local professional associations, industry activities, and conferences.Comfortable providing technical seminars at various state, local, and national conferences to increase Arcadis brand awareness in the areas of buried infrastructure and trenchless technology. Project leadership and management experience including demonstrated experience leading and managing small to mid size, multi-disciplined, water, wastewater or stormwater projects with construction values ranging from under $1M to several million dollars in the public or private sector. Preferred qualifications25+ years of water / wastewater and stormwater experience at a comparable engineering firm.Master’s Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or related field of study.General technical experience with water treatment and wastewater treatment and pumping projects.Specific technical expertise related to buried infrastructure condition assessment and trenchless rehabilitation design and construction.Established relationships with local municipalities in the Twin Cities metropolitan area. Successful record of managing client accounts, assisting in client development, and leading project pursuits and pursuit teams, in a collaborative fashion, on a variety of opportunities.Active and past participation in regional and/or national professional association(s) and presentations at conferences.Why Arcadis?We can only achieve our goals when everyone is empowered to be their best.
