Join us in lowering the cost of access to space and enabling client Origin's vision of millions of people living and working in space to benefit Earth.As part of a hardworking team technicians and engineers, you will build human rated orbital launch vehicles. Our team builds the forward and aft modules for the New Glenn 1st and 2nd stages, as well as other items, for our downstream customer – Stage Integration. Although a rocket is basically a flying fuel tank, we make the fuel tank fly! Want to help us redefine the way rockets are made and operated?This is a boots-on-the-ground, hands-on-hardware, assembly technician role. This is for the tinkers, the makers, the creatives, the pioneers, the problem solvers, those who own their role as if they are going to fly on the vehicle. We are building a road to space, and a rocket that approximates the size of the Saturn V. The path is long, with challenges at every step of the way. Experience in manufacturing, assembly and fabricationInterpret engineering models, drawings, specifications, written work instructions and test proceduresSetup and operate a wide range of precision calibrated tools such as torque wrenches, micrometers, calipers, depth gauges and optical measuring instrumentsWork collaboratively with teams of diverse skills, fields, and backgroundsCommunicate clearly and appropriately, in writing and in personBasic digital literacy such as Windows, Microsoft Office, etc.Repetitively climb ladders/stairs and work in small, restricted areasPerform repetitive work, including lifting of items up to 35lbsOperate various material handling equipment including forklifts, overhead cranes, aerial lifts, truck-trailer combinations, and other ground support equipment as requiredHigh School diploma or GEDAbility to support scheduled work shift (we rotate shifts occasionally) and work off-shift (2nd or 3rd shifts), extended hours, and weekends if/when vitalOther duties as assigned or otherwise beneficial to fulfilling the missionAbility to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusionMust be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylumDesired:

Use of hand drills, power feed drills (PFD), Jiffy/E-Tech tools, Winslow guns,Knowledge of proper drill speeds and feeds for materials being workedUse of drill jigs, bomb sites, tools needed for hand placement of holesUnderstand hole angularity and importance of quality hole tolerancesExperience drilling through aluminum, titanium, Inconel, composite stacksUnderstand clean as you go techniques and need for general cleanlinessExperience in application of sealants, adhesives, paints, and primersBe able to manage flight and non-flight hardwareAbility to pull holesIndustry certification, trade school training and/or degree in related fieldDemonstrated success as a "hands-on” doer and/or leaderWork effectively with a strong work ethic and close attention to detail in a fast-paced dynamic team environment with constantly evolving roles and responsibilitiesContinuous improvement mentality.
