Thursday Relief Veterinarian Position Available - Join Our Team in Valley Village, CA
Aloro Pet Hospital is a family run clinic that has had a strong presence in the San Fernando Valley for over 20 years. We are a walkable neighborhood near North Hollywood and Studio City. Close to Warner Brothers Studio, it is a hub for those in the film industry. Valley Village has wonderful outdoor cafes, boutique shops and was once home to Marilyn Monroe!
About Our Hospital:
Aloro Pet Hospital is spacious, has contemporary new lab equipment, x-ray and dedicated surgical suites. We are a partner of Companion Pet Partners which is a network of best-in-class veterinary practices that collaborate to solve industry-wide problems and deliver exceptional care. You will be working with multiple doctors and a team of trained support staff that exudes teamwork and collaboration. We believe in nurturing the human-animal bond and creating a harmonious relationship between people and animals.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform animal examinations to detect and determine the nature of disease or injuries
Treat sick or injured animals by providing appropriate care
Perform and interpret laboratory and diagnostic tests
Administer anesthetics, perform surgeries, and monitor patients during surgery and recovery with the assistance of the technical team
Follow and create discharge & treatment plan guidelines for patients
Communicate updates with clients via phone, email, and/or chat service
Educate pet owners about animal care, prevention, and disease
Humanely euthanize animals when it has been mutually agreed upon by the patient’s owner
Maintain accurate medical records for all patients

Qualifications and Skills: **
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited veterinary school
Valid state veterinary license
Must have proof of Professional Liability Insurance Trust (PLIT)
Strong knowledge of veterinary medicine
Have professional mannerism and show sensitivity with patients, clients, and staff
Have excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey information effectively to owners and staff
Available Schedule:
Urgent need for coverage on Thursdays, shifts will be 8 hours long, as needed otherwise,
offering competitive compensation at $1,400/shift
We are open: M-F from 9:00am-6pm
Saturday from 9am-2:30pm
Closed Sunday
