Title:Hourly Research Analyst

Position Type:StaffPosition Summary:The Center for Computational Heliophysics(CCH) of the New Jersey Institute of Technology, Department of Physics, invitesapplications for a temporary research assistant position to develop anintegrated heliophysics database and data analysis software. We seek acandidate with a strong background in computer science, database creation,mathematics, statistics, and computational methods. Experience with analysis ofheliophysics data processing is essential. The successful applicant will beexpected to work on the project, including the development of software, projectwebsite, and support of CCH projects. Applicants should have obtained an MS incomputer science by the start date. The initial appointment is for four months and can be extendedsubject to funding availability.

Essential Functions:Development of heliophysics database,machine-learning data analysis software, and support of CCH projects.

Prerequisite Qualifications:- MS. in computer science or related field.- At the university's discretion, the education and experience prerequisites may be exempted where the candidate can demonstrate to the satisfaction of the university, an equivalent combination of education and experience specifically preparing the candidate for success in the position.

Preferred Qualifications:Experience in the development of heliophysics databases, ML methods,API, and web interfaces.
