Job DescriptionCiti is changing, and Internet Gateway and API Management Engineering is driving that transformation.  Technology Infrastructure is a global organization striving to provide measurable competitive advantage to Citigroup by delivering modern best practices and automated tooling that empower our development and operations teams to deliver value to the business more quickly, more frequently, more reliably and at larger scale than ever before.As Engineering Lead Developer in the Internet Gateway and API Management team you will be responsible for leading a variety of engineering activities including the design, acquisition and deployment of hardware, software and network infrastructure in coordination with the Client/Partner technology team. The overall objective of this role is to lead efforts to ensure quality standards are being met within existing and planned framework. This is a hands-on technical experience opportunity.  This is also an excellent opportunity to gain expertise in many different tools and technologies; make an impact in a large organization; and gain exposure to the many business and technology initiatives. We are continually looking for ways to improve processes, better integrate our systems and automate as much as possible in order to Deliver Value to our Clients.Responsibilities:Impact the engineering function by influencing decisions through advice, counsel or facilitating services and hands-on DevelopmentServe as a technology subject matter expert for internal and external stakeholders and provide direction for all firm mandated controls and compliance initiatives, all projects within the group and in creating a technology domain roadmapDefine necessary system enhancements to deploy new products and process enhancementsRecommend product customization for system integrationWork directly with clients/partner application teams to drive rollout of tools, educate teams, and assist with adoptionIdentify problem causality, business impact and root causesExhibit knowledge of how own specialty area contributes to the business and apply knowledge of competitors, products and servicesKnowledge/Experience:Manage day-to-day system development and maintenance activities for Apigee Platform Engineering in global regions.Strong knowledge of full software development, testing, deployment and operational lifecycleExperience of developing and supporting scalable products for a large user base Must have development knowledge in REST and SOAP based APIs.Must have experience in developing XSLT, XML and XQuery.Must have expertise in Unix shell scripting and at least one more other common scripting/automation languages/environments like JavaScript, Perl, Ansible, etc.Experience in IBM API Management in implementing REST API, SOAP APIs, Plans, Security Policies.Mastery of Apigee Hybrid required; any additional experience in Apigee Edge or Apigee X is a plus.
