We never stand still in our pursuit of progress, and we are looking for the best and brightest talent to accelerate our vision toward future mobility. ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop Rivian Rendering engines for In-Vehicle infotainmentDevelop software working on Native AndroidCollaborate with Application and Platform Software, HMI developers, System Design, and Test Engineers to realize a modern in-vehicle experienceTest and iterate on the in-vehicle experience in Rivian prototype vehiclesQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field5-6+ years’ experience working with lower-level rendering interfaces OpenGL, DirectX or VulkanExperience authoring shaders in GLSL, HLSL or comparableExperience profiling and optimizing rendering pipelines5-6+ years' experience with modern object-oriented languages like Kotlin, or C++Software Development life cycle experience, from requirements gathering through to implementation and maintenanceExperience working in embedded or gaming software environmentsExperience writing multithreaded applicationsPreferred QualificationsProficient in code versioning tools including Git, Bitbucket and others.Experience working with the Android environmentPay DisclosureSalary Range California-Based Applicants: $178,500 – $216,900 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).Benefits Summary: Rivian provides robust medical/Rx, dental, and vision insurance packages for full-time employees, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26.
