Bridge Marina is seeking a full-time year-round “Boat Care Specialist” at our Lake Hopatcong location. As Boat Care Specialist you will be part of a team that oversees care of boats in our service department and our boat rental and boat club fleet. You will ensure that all our boats are cared for after service, including final cleaning, covering, launching, mooring. You will be involved in commissioning and decommission of our fleet. You will be involved in projects the maintaining service department, moving vessels, trailers, and the like. You will need a strong emphasis on energy care, quality and satisfaction in work well done. The work is indoors and outdoors in seasonal weather around the marina and on the water.You will be integral part of our Team helping to make boaters happy and safe on the water.

This is a great role to advance and learn boating skills, learn boats and learn about workings of a marina, as well as an opportunity to advance in the field with us. Some responsibilities are:

Oversee basic maintenance for guest boats, marina fleet and its’ gear, including cleaning, waxing, fiberglass and vinyl refurbishing.

Oversee and/or assist teammates involved in boat care or launch, as needed, including trailering, blocking, and operating boats and other marina equipment under supervision.

Assist with decommission and recommission of service boats and marina fleet.

Organization skills for maintaining boats, including awareness to keep boats clean.

Ability to strictly adhere to all safety policies and procedures.

Follow strategies, policies and procedures as directed.

Reporting of missing or low inventory or shortages of materials.

Complete assigned work: always seeking to understand expectations of work and follow through.

Complete and submit work recorders, notes, changes in work and report to technician and managers.

Ensure work area, tools and equipment are maintained and in good repair and in proper condition after all work.

Use and maintain company vehicles and equipment to the highest standard.

Requirements

1 year experience cleaning vehicles, boats, or similar equipment

Valid clean automobile driver’s license.

NJ Boating certificate and boating experience preferred, not required.

Good health and great physical mobility

Ability to pass a pre-employment background/drug screen.

Work indoors and out in various weather conditions.

Work schedule Tuesday-Saturday 9a-5p year-round.

Your starting compensation varies based on your skills, ability, and experience; the starting rate ranges from $16-$20 per hour or equivalently $35,000-$44,000 per year working full time. Overtime and incentives are available. Advancement and increases are available and are encouraged! We are seeking full-time year-round applicants available to work forty hours Tuesday-Saturday.

P.S. Experience on and around boats is terrific and will allow you easier learning curve and faster advancement, although, boating experience is not always required as we have trained many teammates new to boating who are now essential parts of our team.
