We are looking for an experienced engineer to join NXP’s Wireless Connectivity Solutions team as a Principal Wireless System and Applications Engineer (SAE).Responsibilities:Work on NXP's Wireless Connectivity devices including Wi-Fi/Bluetooth/Thread.Serve as technical interface with NXP’s customers, marketing and sales teams to grow our business.Develop product collateral and demos to showcase our products.Provide valuable feedback to internal project teams on customer requirements.Enable NXP customers to integrate our connectivity solutions into their platforms, including product evaluation, software development, qualification, and certification.Lead the resolution of complex technical problems reported by customers.Lead NXP project teams on key customer projects to ensure project milestones are met and the product is successfully brought to market.Develop system-level solutions to enable faster/easier adoption of our products.Author product documentation including application notes, user guides, datasheets.Work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment with NXP architecture, R&D, system, program management, software, validation, marketing, sales and management teams.Train field application engineers and other System and Applications Engineers.Occasional travel (less than 10%) may be required.Requirements:Masters or Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science.7+ years of experience working in the semiconductor industry.3+ years of experience in SW development and programming in C/C++ is preferred.Experience in serving in an applications or field applications role is preferred.Expert knowledge in wireless communication systems such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and/or Thread.Experience with ARM architecture and hands on experience in embedded software troubleshooting.Familiarity with Linux, Android and/or FreeRTOS system architecture and device drivers.Strong verbal and written communication skills are a must.The base salary range for this position is as mentioned below per year. We also provide competitive benefits, incentive compensation, and/or equity for certain roles. Company benefits include health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k), and paid leave. Please note that the base salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation may vary based on a number of factors such as qualifications, skill level, work location, and other business and organizational needs. This base pay range is specific to California and is not applicable to other locations.
