Responsible for Project Management to assure technical, schedule and cost performance for the development, manufacturing and test of products and programs. Leads Integrated Project Teams (IPTs) to be cohesive, supportive and committed to achieving successful results in a matrix organization. Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Develops and implements mechanisms for monitoring project progress, identifies and assesses project issues for effective and timely problem solving, and implements recovery actions to meet internal/external customer commitments and expectations.Essential Functions:Manages full lifecycle of projects (Initiating, Planning, Executing, Monitoring & Controlling, Closing) and ensures each aspect of the individual projects is completed successfully.Review Bid Packages and works with Engineering, Sales, Operations and Product Line Management to establish requirements for a compliant bid response.Establishes project budgets with team members and maintains effective cost and schedule controls.Establishes project milestones and monitors adherence to program master plans.Provide direction and control of work performed, including monitoring the critical path and implementation of appropriate corrective actions.Coordinate and perform review of the project deliverables, and report monthly on overall program status, including risk mitigation.Ensures compliance to established company policies, project management processes, tools, techniques, and templates.Serves as primary communications point of contact with the customer, organizing and leading customer facing meetings and presentations.Ability to prioritize and proactively resolve project related issues on a fast-paced, aggressively scheduled project.Strong written, verbal, interpersonal and presentation skills.Highly organized with high attention to details; managing many diverse projects with different deadlines and priorities.Required Qualifications:Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Business disciplines or equivalent, 5-7 years related prior experience.Desired Qualifications:Exhibit a sense of urgency and independent initiative toward accomplishing objectives.Possess strong analytical and technical skill base.Demonstrated business and financial acumen.Strong leadership skills and ability to lead cross-functional teams.Ability to work with and provide insight to management team.Contract Specialties is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to a diverse workforce.
