The PMO Squad is seeking an experienced Technical Program Manager for a 6-12-month contract for our client in the Telecom industry! This person will be responsible for Engineering Pipeline (DevOps) and Infrastructure Engineering (software) Program Management. The ideal candidate will be highly technical and have extensive knowledge and experience managing multiple DevOps and Infrastructure programs simultaneously on the enterprise level.

Experience And Expectations

Extensive experience with DevOps programs to include CI/CD, GitHub SDLC, IAM, etc.; experience in cloud infrastructure transformation(s) and associated change management.Experience with cloud computing (AWS, Google Cloud and Azure), online services, externalizable APIs, enterprise software development, engineering and associated operations at scale, and application security.Experience in conceptualizing, designing and delivery of program outcomes and project launches across cross functional teams and domains.Experience co-creating and owning technical project roadmap, strategy, and definition.Experience in forecasting agile programs/projects based on velocity and demand.Experience in multiple end-to-end implementations of large and complex technical programs.Experience facilitating cross project or project trade-off decisions.Demonstrated experience in identifying cross dependencies and critical path; using this to prioritize and plan projects.Demonstrated ability to drive resolution of complex issues, across multiple vendors and internal teams; demonstrate maturity and ability to communicate at all levels of the company.Drive decisions when difficult tradeoffs must be made; serve as role model for navigating problems with analytical approach and calming demeanor.Maintain an awareness of changing organizational conditions and their impact on strategic objectives, using knowledge to adapt and evolve their approach.

Key Responsibilities

Leverage technical expertise to develop thorough integrated program plans with key milestones and outcomes: project plans, timelines, milestones, financial management, performance metrics, and/or resource needs for complex projects.Support development of technical project standards, governance, and framework to ensure delivery predictability and consistency.Collaborate with Product Managers, Architecture, Data Management, and Engineering to deliver applicable OKRs.Partner with teams such as Product, Engineering, Architecture, Data Management, and Business stakeholders to ensure communication and alignment across teams and to foster collaboration.Define project charter and playbook to clearly define the roles and responsibilities of individual parties in the project team(s).Conduct project evaluations, including capturing relevant, timely feedback and incorporating successes and areas for improvement into future iterations of the programs. Partner with the program leads and determine success metrics and measure impact of each program over time.Bring in the latest innovative thinking and ideas from the Agile community to increase agility, leveraging lean, scrum, Kanban, and other agile principles.

Requirements

Minimum 5+ years of experience in DevOps and Infrastructure program management and technology project management.Extensive experience working with CI/CD, GitHub, SDLC, IAM, and ADO (Azure DevOps).Experience in Jira, Confluence, SmartSheets, or comparable PPM tool.Experience with software infrastructure, Cloud, and on-prem (SDWAN and SASE) solutions.Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (preferably in Computer Information Systems, engineering, or computer science) preferred; applicable experience in lieu of degree will be considered.Certification(s) in Agile and/or Scrum methodologies preferred.Certifications in project/program management preferred.
